About Mike

As a former paramedic, Mike understands the day-to-day reality faced by First Responders, as well as the impact the job can have on both physical and mental health. Spending years on the frontlines also meant working with individuals and families in their most vulnerable, life-altering moments, navigating trauma, serious illness, and mortality.

This background directly informs his approach to providing care today. For First Responders, it means offering a space where the unique culture and cumulative toll of the job never have to be explained. For individuals and families navigating serious illness, palliative care, or the end-of-life, it means having a steady co-traveler who is not afraid of the dark.

Across both populations, Mike’s approach is trauma-informed and rooted in the mind-body connection -recognizing that profound grief, chronic stress, and trauma are physically lived in our nervous systems.

After close to a decade working in both rural and urban settings, Mike left the road to work at the Ministry of Health. His own search for well-being, coupled with a deep desire to support those facing the heaviest parts of the human experience, led him to complete a Master of Psychospiritual Studies at Emmanuel College (University of Toronto). With a clinical focus on Buddhism, Mike is licensed as a psychotherapist in Ontario, offering a grounded, pragmatic space to help clients process pain, explore meaning, and navigate life's most difficult transitions.
